Hello. My name is Nick Hair.

I am the owner / mix engineer for Minor 7 Studio

I’ve been surrounded by music for most of my life. I picked up the guitar as a teenager, played on church worship teams, wrote my own material, and cut my teeth in local bands. But when I started recording and mixing my own songs, everything changed. I fell in love with the mixing process—the way it shapes the raw emotion and texture of a track until the mix itself becomes a unique voice. Since then, I’ve been on a mission to perfect this art, refining my skills through local mentorships, endless trial and error, and an intensive mentorship class with 12-time Grammy nominee Joe Carrell.

​​Over the past few years, I have built a professional mixing studio equipped with industry-leading plugins from top manufacturers to deliver mixes with exceptional depth and punch. My goal is to elevate the emotional impact and artistry of your music through a sonically pristine, well-balanced mix.
